Getting the FlowI went on a ride on a trail that I had never done before and decided to film it. The trail definitely didn't have much flow to it but I got the idea to try and make the shots flow well together. Looking back on it now, some of the shots could have transitioned better however, most of them look really good and it's a video that I'm proud of because of how I took a rough, rocky trail and made the video come out smooth.

MusicAfter the last video, Leah showed me how I could cut out a part of a song so that the song could have a good ending. Like, if I had a 3 minute song but only 1 minute of videos then I could take out the middle and the song would still have an ending. That's one of the harder things that I have learned because matching the beat is tricky but it's been really useful in all of my recent videos. We also talked about using background music and I used this video as an experiment for it. I think that the music went well but the camera angle was too low so it definitely isn't my best video.

My First Voice OverAll that time, I used music to keep the video engaging, but something I wanted to try was talking over the video to keep it engaging. I had videos from Thornhill where I went with Denzel and we were trying to clear the biggest jump line there. I attempted to narrate the process of me trying to clear them and went over some other events like the warm up trail. The narrating went well, Leah said that the narrating was good, it got the point across and helped keep the video engaging however, it was too long, mainly because of the warm up trail.

My Final VideoFor the final video, I was going to do a continuation of the Thornhill voice over and interview Denzel as well. The day before we were going to go I hurt my ankle in a crash and wasn't able to go the next day. We tried again the next weekend but something came up for him so Thornhill wasn't going to happen. I was trying to come up with new ideas because I didn't have enough time left to go to Thornhill again so I decided I would go to the top of Eagle Mountain with my friend Joseph. I incorporated everything that I had learned from past videos into this one, voice over, music, story, different camera angles and more. I was aiming for the video to be 4 - 5 minutes and I had to keep the whole video engaging. I did my rough draft and sent it to Leah, she gave me a bunch of things feedback on what to change and one of them being add an intro to the video where I just take 20 seconds of my best riding and put it at the start of the video. In the end, it was 4 minutes and 40 seconds and I kept it engaging throughout the whole video. I'm really proud of this last video and I don't think it could've gone much better unless I got more shots. This is another video I would recommend if you only have time for 1 or 2.
